Unless you know a whole troupe of sexy influencer types who will testify all over the internet regarding balloons in belly's...then no traction. You have celebrity traction with GLP1's, not with balloons. Unfortunately we got ourselves a doomed stock.
$ALUR Why can't this stock get any traction? My best guess is that it is due to being unlisted from NASDAQ. The product appears to be moving however. Hopefully there will be a highly favorable earnings and growth report that will kick it into high gear.
$ALUR $LLY and $NVO are spending massively to expand use of weight loss meds. Prescriber numbers are also growing massively.
In the shadows of this new paradigm is Allurion, providing an alternative, for those who don’t like talking a drug, or who have negative side effects from the drugs.
One interesting driver for adoption - Doctors may make more money inserting the balloon than they make writing a prescription.
$ALUR My assessment is negative: the technology, despite FDA approval, lacks the competitive edge to meaningfully challenge GLP-1s, and the company's capital structure – between the toxic RIFA, convertible notes, relentless dilution, and the looming RTW preferred stock exchange – is fundamentally broken.
