View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL An interesting pre-print published a few days ago examined individual neurons in the human entorhinal cortex—one of the first brain regions affected in Alzheimer's disease, where pathological changes often begin before even much of the hippocampus. Using single-cell sequencing, the researchers analysed tens of thousands of brain cells and identified around 30 distinct subtypes of excitatory neurons. Each subtype had its own characteristic pattern of gene expression. One of these subtypes was labelled Exc ZNF385D COL24A1 (Supplementary Figure 3A), meaning that COL24A1 was one of the principal marker genes used to distinguish this neuronal population from the other excitatory neuron subtypes in the entorhinal cortex. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.06.22.733753v1.full.pdf

View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL I see a bunch of you permabaggies are still clinging to some hope here. Maybe you can give that scammer @MayoMobile some more money to go to a "conference" for you again. Dog bless Missleading
View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL Totally wrong, Missling joined avxl as CEO only in 2013
View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL In response to the Tomlinson post where he is telling his friends, etc., to buy buy buy, when I held IMMUNOMEDICS just before it got snarfed by Gilead, I believe it was the CFO who did that same thing (told his gf to buy buy buy). That was in 2019. He was convicted in 2021 of insider trading. I think he is still in jail. Really dumb, because he already owned a lot of stock, and just owning a little made a lot of us millionaires. He went to jail because of greed AND stupidity. What the guy is saying is probably true, but the SEC will be following him. I was surprised that they went after a low-grade millionaire at IMMU when they pass over billionaires crooks, but I think the little guys are easy to convict. My personal feeling is that the new CEO was brought in to clean house and get things going (I can't really find anything about her, but apparently pretty competent), and the fact that we are hearing nothing is pretty good, so at the appropriate time, it is likely buybuybuy

View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL spoke with Alex in their outsourced IR team. He truly is clueless. I asked him some questions about access-AD and he asked me to put it in writing. I told him to write it down. He had no idea what it was!! He called me a couple days later as he was starting to write it down and he essentially asked me to explain it to him as if he were five years old (coming from a guy who claims to have biotech experience). 🤣 I then called Anavex and left a vm of my experience. Who called me? Yup, Clint Tomlinson. I told him I was surprised he was still there. The meat of his message to me that that everyone there is very excited. He is telling his family and friends to buy Anavex. So when I tried to drill down on why they’re excited, he couldn’t tell me. But he did say “soon”, sooner than later. What a disaster!
View on StockTwits ↗$AVXL so glad I sold all my Anavex stock and went all in on SLS. Already recovered ALL my Missling losses (fucking liar POS!!) and more. Fun fact: Dr. Angelos Stergiou, the founder, President, and CEO of SELLAS Life Sciences Group (SLS), previously held a major executive role at Anavex Life Sciences. In early 2011, Dr. Stergiou joined Anavex as the Vice President of Clinical Development & Medical Affairs. During this period, Dr. Christopher Missling was leading Anavex as its Chief Executive Officer. While at Anavex, Dr. Stergiou oversaw the clinical trial management and medical affairs department—specifically working on the early clinical development and Phase 1 human trials for Anavex’s lead Alzheimer's drug candidate, ANAVEX 2-73 (blarcamesine)—reporting within the executive team alongside Missling before later moving on to found SELLAS in 2012.
