View on StockTwits ↗FOMC day one closes. The committee meets again tomorrow, decision at 2:00 PM ET — that single print defines the risk envelope for everything that moves between now and Tuesday afternoon New York time. Asia opens into compression, not expansion. Desks don't build new overnight risk into a Fed day; they manage existing inventory. Watch whether Asia confirms or fades the US close in the first 30 minutes of $ES and $NQ trade. A drift session is contained. A hard push in either direction is someone repositioning ahead of the announcement. That read sets the London gap-fill or gap-extension scenario — this slot marks the zones, not the call. On crypto, $BTC is at $63,912 with a +0.60% session. Day range is tight: $63,853 low, $63,970 high. That's a $117 range — nothing extended. $ETH is at $1,917 with a +0.70% session. Both assets are coiled, not trending. Six-hour watch list: $BTC needs to hold $63,853 to keep daily structure intact. A clean break flips the day low into overhead, and …
View on StockTwits ↗Cash close on crypto is as quiet as it gets the night before an FOMC announcement. $BTC finishes at $63,845 — essentially flat on the session, +0.23% — but the structure inside that range tells more than the headline number. Low was $62,844, high was $63,991. It tagged near session high late and the close settled near the top of the day's distribution. That is not a failing candle. If you were short into 16:00 expecting the tape to roll ahead of tomorrow, you're sitting underwater. $ETH did more work. Closed at $1,920.95, up 1.60% on the session. Day range was $1,861 on the low to $1,924 on the high — it closed within four dollars of the session top. ETH outperformed BTC by roughly 137 basis points today. That spread usually reflects rotation into beta or a specific Ethereum-side catalyst. Whatever the driver, ETH absorbed the FOMC overhead better than BTC. Alternatively, BTC was already priced for more caution and ETH wasn't. Either way, ETH did the heavier lift. Tomorrow at …

View on StockTwits ↗London close at noon ET, and the session transition is running into two overlapping dynamics: the liquidity vacuum that opens as European desks go dark, and a pre-FOMC positioning environment actively working against new directional risk. The Fed starts its two-day meeting tomorrow, July 28. The rate decision prints Wednesday the 29th at 2:00 PM. That calendar context sits on top of every session for the next 48 hours and it's not neutral weight. $BTC is trading $64,488, down 1.30% on the session, with a day high at $65,604 and a day low at $64,403. Current spot is $85 above the session floor. That's not compression at a midpoint — that's the bid sitting on the low after the European window did the selling. The range opened near the high and has spent the back half of the session grinding toward the bottom. $ETH reads the same: $1,926.65, -1.34%, day range $1,918.56 to $1,973.88. Spot sits $8 above the low. Two major risk assets, same directional result, same position within the …
