$HKHC $STUDY For those that want a lesson in price discovery, here it is, playing out in slow motion. Horizon Kinetics an asset manager, came public via a reverse merger earlier this year. When it was announced, I purchased shares in the target company. I waited for the transaction to close, symbol change and reverse split and ended up with a few shares at $19.50 I have great respect for the founder Murray Stahl, one of the great investment minds nobody ever heard of so I'm more than content to sit on the shares. But on friday a fat finger order pushed the stock up to $53 on only 2315 shares. Too bad I missed the trade. I'm looking to sell at those levels if anyone is interested, lol.

Their business is leasing land for oil and gas production and they also provide services to the Permian Basin, including Water Management. For those who are not aware, it is also a AI Data Center play since data centers need water to cool equipment and natural gas to fire gas turbines to generate electricity $GEV. Another similar play is $LB. Today TPL is making an all time high. I regret ever selling a share.
