The UK MoD already signaled interest in Ilika’s thin‑film tech. Goliath is the natural next step.
And defense absolutely requires non‑China supply chains. This is why Ilika’s independence from rare‑earth choke points is a strategic advantage, not just a commercial one.

Read through the slides from the recent presentation on 14th May which gives some insight as to what to expect in the near future. Given that the PRIMED project is due to end next month anticipate a RNS on this before the end of June:
PRIMED (August 2025-June 2026)
Aims:
• Manufacture 50Ah A-sample prototypes on industry-relevant equipment at UKBIC
• Build a digital twin of Goliath SSB
manufacturing line (HSSMI)
• Make Goliath ready for commercialisation
• The programme uses UKBIC’s Flexible Pilot Line (FPL) to carry out production of Ilika’s SSB electrodes
• FPL is being used due to smaller amount of required material
• Initial trial run successful and production run is imminent
NEXT: Successfully complete the PRIMED programme and deliver A-sample
