$LUKOY I feel Putin may this time be slightly more serious about peace, just don't know once sanctions are lifted what the exact mechanics of liquidation will be. Who is the depositary now that Citi sold it's Russian subsidiary? After all the conversions, what % of ADRs and DRs are irreconcilable? Will we get an 80% haircut regardless of peace and sanctions being lifted?

So once the sale goes through that huge chunk of change goes into an account they can’t use to benefit Russia…. But I see no reason why it can’t be used to buy back ADRs.
It cleans up their books, increases value for Russian shareholders by reducing future obligations for dividends, and makes us whole by paying us. And not a single cent flows into Russia or out of Russia.
Now that having been said, it’s likely to be a 70% discount to Moscow prices.
