MAIA Biotechnology Inc is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development, and commercialization of targeted immunotherapies for cancer, with an initial focus on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which represents the majority of lung cancer cases. Its asset, ateganosine (THIO, also known as 6-thio-dG or 6-thio-deoxyguanosine), is an investigational dual mechanism of action drug candidate incorporating telomere targeting and immunogenicity. The treatment approach involves administering THIO followed by the immune checkpoint inhibitor Libtayo (cemiplimab), which is manufactured and commercialized by Regeneron.

And when I say that we get back in $MAIA , you’ll notice. But the time is not ready for it yet. You’ll see.
View on StockTwits ↗$MAIA Contrary to my thinking, their 99% claim just might work. FDA is now “open to bayesian statistics”: transformational change or new Pandora’s box? https://www.bmj.com/content/392/bmj.s180
View on StockTwits ↗$MAIA Nice to see the company making a bit of progress on its trials, it sounds like there is another 41 patients worth of data developing from the ex-US sites. The randomization isn't 1:1 however, it looks like on slide 10 (presentation link below) it is 30 patients receiving the combo, and 7-18 patients receiving ateganosine alone. Also this means it has taken about 11 months to enroll 41 patients, although perhaps there has already been 10 more at the US sites, who knows? https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_aeb091aeafbcc82d5329ded9c7750463/maiabiotech/db/2216/20771/pdf/2026-01-13+MAIA+Biotechnology+-+Presentation+Deck.pdf
View on StockTwits ↗@telomerase Yet, THIO may very well be discussed and read by your grandchildren 20 years from now as a turning point in cancer therapy. The shift from “holy grail with mutation risks” to a rapid-killing telomere-directed approach that sidesteps those classic resistance pathways is exactly the kind of conceptual leap that changes the textbook chapters. Gryaznov’s track record is impressive, and his own buying of $MAIA is worth noting, but the real story is the science moving forward. Excited to see where the Phase 3 data lands.

View on StockTwits ↗$GERN The guy that invented Rytelo, Sergei Gryaznov, also invented the second-generation anti-telomerase-positive cancer drug, ateganosine. It's in Phase 3 at MAIA. He buys $MAIA shares, so do I. it's time to move on, it's not 2003 any more. (I did the first preclinicals on Rytelo at Shay-Wright in 2003, BTW). GL

View on StockTwits ↗$MAIA I think this could be a rising tide lifts all boats scenario. Any positive news from the telomerase/telomere space and this should climb. Knowing that I think a round of dilution could be at a much higher price, if dilution comes at all. What's to say they don't make a deal before hand? A measly $1B offer from BP would be a 10 bagger for mngmt.
View on StockTwits ↗$MAIA The chart looks great for bulls, at least for the near term. The heavy volume candles (15 minute scale, for example) since June 10 are all green. On the daily we see various cups forming potential upside. However, their press release of June 4 has me worried. For their pivotal Phase 3 trial, THIO-104, they state that they are "targeting up to 100 patients by year-end and expect to have sufficient survival data to conduct an interim analysis in 2027. I think that means survival data in late 2027. They need to raise more capital by around december, and they will be a long way from enrollment or meaningful data at that time. As people see the cash running low, I believe the stock price will likely drift down significantly. They will need significantly more capital. Dilution is coming. I sold my modest position today at $1.48 for a reasonable profit. I'll wait for a lower price.
View on StockTwits ↗$MAIA @synaphai What an outstanding, objective post. Thank you for your insight and contribution. So you were not lulled by the title of one of their recent data updates with "$50 billion" in it - Ha. That type of thing should never be the header for a data release, rather a capsule summary of the results is what the title should be about) And yeah, the 99% predicted probability success rate is outrageous and nonsense. They would be better off without all of these over the top, irrational and or misleading (IMO) sentences / claims, etc. However, one can not get away with that bs with an NIH grant application (which they have). They are actually moving along with Phase 3 (these guys dont seem to be slackers) and The Roche and REGN (collaborations not partnerships) are encouraging, but until someone coughs up real $$$ for a partnership, credibility is strained. Doesn't mean it cant run 300%.
