Paramount Skydance operates in three global business segments: TV media, filmed entertainment, and direct to consumer. The TV media business includes television production studios and various broadcast and cable networks, including CBS, 15 owned CBS affiliates, Paramount, Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and VH1. Filmed entertainment consists of multiple film studios, most importantly Paramount Pictures. The film studios produce and distribute movies that they license to movie theaters and other media outlets. Direct to consumer includes the Paramount+, Pluto TV, and BET+ streaming services. Much of the content on Paramount's streaming platforms is created by the production studios housed within the firm's other two business segments.

$PSKY I believe the banks and hedge funds who have been shorting Paramount for a very long time were blindsided by the settlement. I believe they thought they had more time to get things in order and leave. The settlement blew up those plans…so now we have chaos, they are trapped and lashing out with ridiculous impunity. At some point they will be forced out, but not before sustaining huge losses!!!!

$PSKY Ai ...here is a wake up call ...the larger a companies ip library is the larger the bank vault ..just think about all of the ip they will now own and ai cant simply just replicate it without licensing fees ...paramount warner will deploy every best practice and with their powerful backers they will build a monster ..better films endless packing and stacking of quality content etc etc ..watch how this unfolds do the math 200 million at 19 per sub for both services nets them about 18 billion more than current...retail is 13.99 and 18.99 think about that. The ags are not restricting bundle deals to the public only to the cable companies... ITS GOLDEN .. if they only sell a bundle of both for 19 would any of the 145 million hbo subs quit getting paramount for free and how many subs would leave from the paramount side getting hbo for 5$ ..they could get alot of upside beyond 200 million 200 MILLION SUBS AT 19 IS ABOUT 18 BILLION MORE !!AND THE PUBLIC PAYS LESS

$PSKY Laughing at the so called "conditions" of the settlement. Really the only thing that was an extra cost to the Empire was the workers compensation fund. Everything else was already planned for/assumed. They wouldn't have sold the studio lots anyway. If your goal is 30 films plus tv/streaming production all going on then shrinking your available work space would be a foolish move. Not to mention the rent fees you charge other companies who use the lots for their own productions. They're not going to sell assets. Consolidate some of them, yes. But outright selling, no. You'd be hacking off a revenue stream and if your goal is debt reduction you need all the recurring revenue you can get. A sold asset, welp a one time cash fix, then what?. Future debt won't be knocked down as fast and you can only sell so much before revenue doesn't cover everything anymore.
