$RVPH Based on industry patterns, Reviva’s profile, and market dynamics, the likelihood of a buyout or M&A (merger/acquisition) is moderate to high (50-70%) within 12-18 months of NDA submission approval. This estimate draws from • Historical Precedents in Schizophrenia Biotechs: Late-stage assets in this space often attract acquirers due to high unmet need and blockbuster potential (e.g., peak sales forecasts for brilaroxazine: $500M-$1B+ annually) • Karuna Therapeutics ($KRTX) filed an NDA for KarXT (similar novel antipsychotic) in 2023; Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) acquired it for $14B in 2024, just months post-filing, valuing the asset at ~5-7x projected peak sales • Cerevel Therapeutics ($CERE) advanced emraclidine (Phase 3-ready muscarinic agonist); AbbVie bought it for $8.7B in 2024 amid NDA preparations. • These deals highlight Big Pharma’s (BMS, AbbVie, Pfizer) appetite for differentiated schizophrenia candidates to refill pipelines amid patent cliffs (Eliquis, Keytruda)
View on StockTwits ↗@Cobre_Miner Didn't they gain a lot for the $CERE buyout? The company who bought the medicine of $CERE lost a lot. But the investors who bought $CERE before the buyout should have made a lot of money .
View on StockTwits ↗@Gropius Big companies may make mistakes. The company who bought $CERE must regret for not picking the drug from Reviva.
View on StockTwits ↗@BValley21 I keep saying the same rhetorical nonsense myself. Unless there has been an SEC filing over the past 24 hours, I do not see a reverse split occurring. Although $CERE's scumbag CEO pulled that bullshit without filing with the SEC until the last minute and the only way people knew this company was going through RS their stock was because they were getting notifications in their brokerage account indicating such. What a scumbag move that was. I could be wrong but I don't think that's going to be the case here. Last time I checked press releases, this company performed an audit whose end result brought them back within NASDAQ compliance and this doesn't have anything to do with the $1 minimum bid requirement. That's only one requirement that the NASDAQ asks to be fulfilled. If any of you here has verifiable proof via an SEC filing that this stock is going to reverse split anytime soon, please post it
View on StockTwits ↗$CKPT Shooting fish in the Google barrel... I've been plugging in this search phrase... "Boston based biotech with FDA approved drug acquired by __ for ($) Billion," just changing the dollar figure for fun each time. And it's been hit after hit. I find it funny so many doubters on here don't see the true value yet of Checkpoint & Uloxcyt or what's very likely about to happen to the share price. # # AbbVie acquired Cerevel Therapeutics, a Massachusetts-based biotech company, for $8.7 billion in December 2023. The deal is expected to close in mid-2024. (Deal got done even though Emraclidine, centerpiece of $CERE takeover, flunked out of FDA trial.) # # Inserted ($6.5) billion... "Johnson & Johnson (J&J) acquired Momenta Pharmaceuticals, a Cambridge, MA-based biotech co., for $6.5 billion in 2020. The acquisition included the FcRn blocker, nipocalimab, which J&J is developing as a treatment for Sjögren's disease." ($MNTA buyout deal got done, but nipocalimb = still not FDA approved.)
View on StockTwits ↗$ADGM is same sponsors as $CERE which was bought out for billions, under cash, and under valued here. q2 FDA nod coming
View on StockTwits ↗@docholliday22 @History101 have to agree …. It makes more sense for $BMY to step up and establish a partnership, at least, to gain a lion’s share of the schizophrenia market for the next decade. $ABBV is reeling from their mistake with $CERE …
View on StockTwits ↗@Princessofdoom you are right $CERE was a SCAM! Poor $ABBV should had made a deal with $RVPH
View on StockTwits ↗$VKTX ridiculous price action but not surprising given this is clinical stage biotech. Conservatively, $2 billion VK2809, $1 billion in cash, so this is being given roughly $3 billion for VK2735 which is best in class SC & Oral for Obesity. Boggles the mind how BP spent so much on garbage acquisitions like $cere and $sgen yet haven’t pounced on something as game changing as this yet.
View on StockTwits ↗$ABBV $CERE $8b down the drain lol 🤡 Should have bought $NBIX for $15-20B
View on StockTwits ↗Super trends BIOtechs 2025: Upstream Bio ($UPB) clinical-stage biotechnology company developing treatments for inflammatory diseases, focus on severe respiratory disorders. Its lead product, verekitug, targets the TSLP receptor, addressing a significant unmet medical need. The experienced management team and substantial financial backing position Upstream Bio favorably for future growth. Intellia Therapeutics ($NTLA) Pioneering CRISPR/Cas9-based gene-editing therapies. Outlook: promising clinical data suggest significant potential in treating genetic diseases. Cerevel Therapeutics ($CERE) Developing therapies for central nervous system disorders, including Parkinson's, epilepsy, and schizophrenia. Sufficient cash reserves, positioned for potential upside by 2025. Vertex Pharmaceuticals ($VRTX) Focus: Specializes in treatments for cystic fibrosis and is expanding into gene-editing therapies, robust pipeline and strategic collaborations.
View on StockTwits ↗@TradingtooRetire @Idvst8 I believe $IOVA is little over 5% of their portfolio, while $CERE is their top holding.
